BREAD NIGHT BAKER
This is your opportunity to grow within a team of experienced and dynamic bakers specialising in artisanal French bread and pastries, producing everything fresh from scratch with the best ingredients daily. You will have to work with bread and pastry doughs, be able to produce all kinds of pastries, make all kinds of cream, ganache and other preparations in order to build up final products. You will also participate in caring and cleaning up the laboratory and be mindful of the equipment and other people working in the area.
The French Market first opened as an Artisanal French Bakery, Wine Shop & Deli in February 2021 in Whetstone (Barnet, North London). We now produce a top quality range of artisanal classic French breads & pastries for our 3 SHOPS (Barnet, Finsbury Park & Tufnell Park), our wine bar (Authentique Epicerie & Bar) as well as a growing number of wholesale customers. All our production is done at our first store in Barnet where we make everything fresh from scratch with the best ingredients daily. We import Label Rouge Flour from Foricher & the Butter from Isigny.
Working alongside our experienced Head Baker, we are looking for a motivated Night Baker with experience to join our expanding team.
Baking experience and requirements:
* Minimum 2 years employment in an artisanal bakery
* Shaping sourdough & baguettes
* oven baking bread
* Mixing dough for bread and pastries
* Passionate about baking specialist breads and keen to develop skill
* A strong team player with a positive attitude to problem solving
* This is a full-time position: 40 hours a week
* Overtime is paid
* 28 days paid holiday per year
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
