We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our engineering team and manage engineering projects from early concept through to production. What you’ll do: You will be responsible for managing cross‑functional engineering projects covering the full product lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through design, validation, industrialisation and production launch. Creating, maintaining and reporting against detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource requirements and risk registers. Coordinating multi‑disciplinary project teams including mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineers, test and validation, supply chain and quality functions. Acting as the primary point of contact for project status, ensuring clear, structured communication to internal stakeholders and senior leadership. Managing project risks, issues and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation actions and escalating where appropriate. Working with engineering and commercial teams to translate customer and market requirements into structured development programmes. Representing AEM in customer meetings, design reviews and programme updates, acting as a professional and credible interface between customers and internal teams. Engaging directly with suppliers and external partners to support the successful delivery of parts, components and assemblies for both prototype builds and series production. Driving the application of standard project management processes, governance and reporting across all projects. Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management capability within the development organisation. We’d love you to have: Formal Project Management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent) would be an advantage. Proven experience in a Project Manager role within a design and manufacturing environment, delivering engineered products from concept through to production. Demonstrable experience working in an engineering development organisation, with understanding of design, validation, industrialisation, and manufacturing processes. Experience in a customer‑facing role, representing a company in customer meetings, design reviews and programme updates. Proven experience working with suppliers and external partners to deliver components and assemblies for both prototype and production phases. Experience managing supplier‑related risks including long lead‑times, technical maturity, capacity and production ramp‑ Automotive industry experience is desirable, with specific advantage given to experience in electric powertrain or electric motor development. A technical or engineering background, or demonstrable experience working closely with engineering teams, would be beneficial.
