Overview
We're delighted to be recruiting for a Development Officer in our Delivery team. You will be covering the West – Somerset, Dorset, Bristol & Wiltshire. The job is flexible working, but based one / two days per week in our Yeovil Office. Here at Abri, we’re determined to do our part in tackling the housing crisis and we have launched an ambitious corporate strategy for 2026–31, aiming to build a minimum of 1,000 homes per year with the goal of increasing this number as conditions allow.
This is a career development role, where you will be enrolled on a construction-related apprenticeship course to assist your learning and aim to obtain a RICS qualification. You will be willing to complete studies in your own time in addition to the 1 day per week study time allowed.
Responsibilities
You will play a key role in supporting the Senior Development Managers & Development Managers, assisting on schemes along with our consultants, developers/contractors to deliver new build affordable housing for the business. As your journey begins within the delivery team, the role will be a supporting role, shadowing and assisting the team to gain experience and understanding. This will enable you to learn about the construction of properties to support your studies, along with internal processes to deliver new homes to our customers, allowing you to progress individually, as part of our team and enable you to play a bigger part in the team’s goals. You will also work to create a personal development plan that ensures you quickly add value to the team while gaining experience.
