Practice Educator – CT and MRI
We are looking for a dynamic Practice Educator in CT and MRI to join our progressive team based between Wood Green and Finchley Memorial Hospital CDC’s and UCLH. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, highly motivated, dedicated & experienced radiographer to take on the role of Practice Educator to help support multimodality training across NCL CDC’s.
The role requires sophisticated communication skills as you will need to present effectively and engage with mixed audiences. The successful post holder will develop evidence-based practice across hospital sites working with modality leads to mentor and support staff to develop their knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will develop their existing skill set to become one of the Practice Educator team.
The department is keen to facilitate continual professional development whilst working in a supportive and progressive team. All staff are actively supported in this area.
Key Responsibilities
* Acting as an expert practitioner and role model to develop and maintain an effective and sustainable educational environment using evidence-based practice through teaching, training, coaching and development of registered radiography staff, whilst demonstrating awareness of cultural diversity in the workplace; enabling the delivery of high quality, effective care to improve patient experience in a variety of clinical settings.
* To contribute to the development and update of policies, protocols and guidelines to support the services across NCL CDCs and UCLH.
* Provide clinical supervision and work‑based learning to all trainees in CT/MRI from the imaging workforce.
* Demonstrate advanced practice in the use of highly sophisticated equipment to provide diagnostic imaging for our patients.
* To provide education to radiographers, trainee reporting radiographers and other UCLH staff.
