Offer description

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Family Law Solicitor to join our national family team as a Senior Associate in Shrewsbury.

We would like a candidate who will manage their own Family Law case load, with experience in Divorce, Matrimonial Finances, Nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Disputes and Private Children Law.

There will be the opportunity to manage and supervise the junior members of the team, as such, a background in these skills would be required as you will be providing support on various cases. We would also be looking for those confident in business development, being able to assist in raising the profile of an already successful and thriving team, whilst also supporting growth from different channels.

We are looking for a candidate who will engage in development of the business for the Family Team by attendance at networking events to develop their own contacts and who will assist with marketing opportunities.

Owing to the nature of the work, we would ask for a high level of client care, whilst maintaining adherence to our national standards.

Working with sensitive matters under time pressures, it is vital to have excellent communication, organisation and time keeping skills. It is also expected that work is to be delegated to Trainees/Paralegals and members of support where appropriate, ensuring that work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

You would also be expected to hold and attend new client meetings and provide realistic advice, setting expectations, whilst handling negotiations, alongside ensuring that time recording and billing is managed to enable achievement of personal chargeable hours, billing and cash collection targets.

Please note that this role will initially be on a home-working basis, however, should we open an office in Shrewsbury, you would be expected to attend twice a week. There may also be the possibility of occasional travel to Manchester should the need arise, this would strictly be on an as-and-when basis.

What we offer in return:

We have a wide range of core and voluntary benefits:

* Hybrid working – 2 days per week working in the office (must live a reasonable distance to commute to the office)

* 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday

* 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays

* Buy and sell annual leave up to 5 days

* Employee Referral scheme

* Group Incentive Plan (Annual Bonus Scheme)

* Aviva Digicare+ Workplace App providing you with services including annual health checks, access to Digital GP’s, mental health consultations, 2nd medical opinions and much more

* Employee Assistance Programme where you can access free webinars for stress awareness and counselling sessions

* Health and Wellbeing Programmes and apps including gym discounts, private medical insurance, cycle to work scheme, meditation sessions and much more

* Life Assurance cover

* Workplace pension

* Benefits Hub providing discounts to over 700 services including cinema tickets, food and drink, travel, and high street stores
