Our Construction client in the Cookstown area require and Accounts Technician to join their busy Finance Department. Reporting directly into a Finance Manager your primary responsibility will be to provide bookkeeping support for the finance team and prepare year end accounts and financial statements for the company. Main Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of annual accounts for small companies ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines. Prepare Quarterly VAT Returns Submission of accounts to companies house; Cash Book postings; Monthly bank reconciliations; Sales Ledger management including Debtor statement reconciliations Maintain accurate filing system for invoices/statements; Assist with general accounts and banking duties as required; Any other duties as required by management. Qualifications & Experience Be Qualified or Part Qualified Accounts Technician (AAT or IATI) Have at least 1 years experience in a busy finance department. Have previous experience in MS office applications including Word and Excel. Previous experience in SAGE Accounts Production desirable Be highly motivated and be capable of working on their own initiative and without supervision Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality Possess excellent communication skills. Exhibit excellent organisational skills and attention to detail along with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Experience of handling large volumes of work, working to tight deadlines where attention to detail is required. Have the ability to quickly adapt to various sets of computerised accounts.
