What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for the successful planning, delivery, and management of all grounds maintenance operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Ownership, planning, oversight, and delivery of daily maintenance operations
* Tendering for new projects and ensuring bids align with company growth plans
* Programming and managing contract works according to risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Adding new jobs to the company's CRM software and allocating them efficiently to operational teams
* Coordinating labour, equipment, and materials for maximum efficiency
* Negotiating contracts and liaising with clients when needed
* Monitoring budgets and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within cost targets
* Conducting site visits and liaising with Contracts Managers, Site Agents, and clients
* Interpreting architectural drawings and setting out operational areas for teams
* Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained across all sites
* Upholding ISO9001 & ISO14001 compliance and company quality standards
* Maintaining consistently high client satisfaction and service excellence
* Leading and motivating a team to achieve peak productivity and quality standards
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Proven experience in a maintenance or grounds management role
* Strong horticultural knowledge and understanding of landscaping practices
* Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
* Excellent customer service, sales, and negotiation skills
* Budget and cost management experience
* Solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and risk assessment procedures
* Ability to read and interpret architectural or landscaping drawings
* Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
* A full, clean, UK driving licence.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards.
* Experience using scheduling, stock management, or operations software
