Role Overview
As a Market Development Officer, you will play a key role in:
Supporting the Market Development & Engagement Manager in market development and engagement activities
Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify commissioning needs and ensure appropriate market solutions
Conducting market analysis and research to inform commissioning decisions
Engaging with providers and businesses to promote participation in commissioning opportunities
Supporting the implementation of contracts and ensuring effective performance management
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Experience working in a similar market development or commissioning role within the public sector
Knowledge of procurement processes and legislation
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence providers, internal teams, and other organisations
Excellent analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a team
