Lord Combustion Services Limited are a long-established, highly respected mechanical service and maintenance company based in the West Midlands, who are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team.
Theyre offering a stable, well-paid role with minimal travel across the West Midlands, structured overtime and potential for further earnings, and an experienced team with a strong support structure.
This is a regional roleno long-distance national traveloffering a better work-life balance while still working on varied and interesting projects.
The Role:
Youll be working across a range of commercial sites within the Healthcare, Educational, Sports & Corporate sectors, carrying out:
* Service, maintenance and repair of commercial gas boilers and associated systems
* Fault-finding and diagnostics (with a focus on first-time fixes)
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and gas safety checks
* Breakdown response and reactive maintenance (inc. call-out rota)
* Commissioning (install team support & manufactures)
* Call-out Rota approx. 4 - 5 weeks per annum (1 in 12)
What Youll Need:
* Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (essential)
* Proven experience with commercial boilers and associated services
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
* Basic knowledge of controls/electrics (advantageous)
* Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)
* Ability to manage your own workload and work autonomously
* A reliable, proactive and professional approach
* Ability to complete clear industry certificate and job reports
Salary & Package:
£42,500 £48,000 basic salary (subject to experience).
* Company vehicle available for personal use (Hybrid Estate Car option upon completion of trial)
* Monthly attendance bonus
* On-call standby payments + premium call-out rates
* Overtime paid at enhanced rates (time & a half / double time)
Working Hours (Early Friday finish):
* Monday Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pm, Friday: 8:00am 4:00pm. 39.5 hours per week.
* Call-out Rota approx. 4 weeks per annum (1 in 12) (comprising standby retainer & double time door to door)
