As an Electrical Project Manager, you will lead projects from inception to completion, delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions across our key sectors: quarry & building materials, power generation & distribution, plus food & drink manufacturing.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Managing full project lifecycle – concept, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover
* Quoting, tender negotiation, and commercial management
* Planning and allocating labour, ensuring resources meet project demands
* Leading or coordinating electrical design (schematics, protection, layouts)
* Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
* Overseeing health and safety compliance (site standards, RAMS, risk assessments)
* Monitoring and reporting on project performance (cost, timeline, risk)
We are looking for someone with the following experience and qualifications:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer
* Proven experience managing electrical projects (especially in quarry, utilities/power Distribution, and food & drink sectors)
* Strong understanding of electrical systems: distribution, switchgear, design, control panels
* Skilled in labour planning and site resource management
* Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen
* Full UK driving licence
Health & Safety Expertise
* High-level H&S experience – you’ll have oversight on site safety
* SSSTS (Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme) qualification or equivalent
Design Skills
* Comfortable using design software (e.g. AutoCAD, CAD tools, electrical calculation packages)
Personal Attributes
* Self-driven and proactive – you take ownership
* Strong communicator (verbal & written) – able to influence across all levels
* Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
* Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
Working Hours
Full time position: Monday – Friday (40 hours)
