Job Role: Hazardous Waste Regulatory Reform Project Lead
Your primary focus will be developing and advancing the Hazardous Waste (HW) regulatory reform related to the Waste Tracking Service (WTS). This is an impactful role that offers the opportunity to make a real difference!
You will:
Coordinate and gather input from EA HW teams regarding regulatory and policy requirements.
Provide technical support to the EA Waste Tracking team.
Advise the Defra digital team on the development and design of the Waste Tracking Service, ensuring it meets business needs.
Contribute technical insights to Defra policy discussions to embed regulatory requirements into the Waste Tracking Service.
Engage with devolved nations on Waste Tracking Service requirements.
Additionally, you will:
Lead on future Hazardous Waste charging proposals and consultations, providing technical advice.
Support wider regulatory reforms related to Hazardous Waste Regulations.
Contribute to the wider Hazardous Waste team efforts.
Team Overview: The E&B Hazardous Waste team is a small, high-performing group within the Regime Regulation team, dedicated to ensuring the proper management of hazardous waste, supporting government, industry, and colleagues.
