Job Title: Design Coordinator – Dry Lining | Tier 1 Commercial Projects

An industry-leading dry lining contractor is seeking a Design Coordinator to join its growing team in Central London. Specialising in high-value ceiling, partition, and interior packages, the company works on flagship commercial schemes across the capital, partnering with Tier 1 main contractors including Mace, Sir Robert McAlpine, and Multiplex.
With projects ranging up to £20 million, this contractor is known for delivering technically complex packages to the highest standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and coordination of these schemes, collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and client teams from early design stages through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinating design information between internal teams, architects, consultants, and clients.
* Producing and managing technical drawings using AutoCAD and BIM tools (e.g. Revit, Navisworks).
* Leading clash detection and design resolution processes.
* Supporting both pre-construction and delivery teams with technical input.
* Attending and contributing to regular design coordination meetings.
* Ensuring all designs are compliant, buildable, and delivered in line with programme and budget.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar Design Coordinator or Technical Coordinator role, ideally within dry lining or interior fit-out.
* Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM coordination workflows.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working on large commercial schemes, preferably with Tier 1 main contractors.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
