Once qualified, there will be opportunities to work towards becoming a Senior Pharmacy Assistant or to progress to a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician, subject to meeting relevant criteria.
The post involves training to learn various aspects of a pharmacy assistant's role, including assisting in the supply and dispensing of prescribed items, managing stock including dispensary consumables, supporting ward-based medicines management, and gaining experience in pharmacy manufacturing.
The trainee will work towards Level 2 Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support staff and complete the training within the set deadline.
