Production Supervisor
Location: Grantham.
Work type: Full Time (Day Shift, Monday to Friday).
Employment: Permanent.
Salary: £Competitive, depending on experience.
Our Grantham based Client is looking to appoint a Production Supervisor on a full time, permanent basis. The Production Supervisor will be based within the Operations team and will be responsible for organising workflow and ensuring the hands on management of a busy workshop. Responsibilities
* Lead the manufacture of a range of products from technical drawings and schematics.
* Lead a small team.
* Perform hands on duties such as welding, cutting, drilling, assembly work, cable crimping and some wiring.
* Operate and train others in the use of production equipment.
* Operate lifting equipment.
* Collect and deliver materials if required; a forklift license would be desirable.
* Occasional property maintenance may be required.
* Ensure all work processes are completed to a high standard including keeping the workshop clean to avoid hazards and maintaining the company’s health & safety and quality guidelines.
Qualifications
* Previous similar experience as a Production Supervisor.
* Proven experience in MIG welding desirable.
* Sling and lifting experience desirable.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Experience using grinders, cutting equipment and general fabrication tools.
* Strong practical and mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of safety rules and precautionary measures (PPE provided).
* Good communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
