An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint motivated and dedicated registered nurses and midwives to join our friendly neonatal nursing team.
The dedicated team provides excellent, high-quality care and treatment to sick or premature newborn infants admitted to the Neonatal Unit (NNU).
The NNU has 15 cots, with two designated for high dependency care, and short-term ventilation (up to 48 hours) is available. There are approximately 350 admissions annually.
A Neonatal Transitional Care service is being established to allow babies to receive care on postnatal wards, reducing unnecessary separation from mothers. This service will be delivered by Band 5 neonatal staff, who are part of the NNU team and will rotate to support this service, working alongside Maternity Support Workers.
