JOB PURPOSE We are looking for someone to provide general building maintenance and gardening at our properties to ensure that they are kept safe, secure and in good condition. Working to a high standard, in a safe and secure manner, whilst being sensitive to the needs of the staff and young people in the building. WHAT KIND OF PERSON DO WE NEED? Someone who can carry out a variety of planned and reactive building maintenance tasks, varying in nature, including General building, Basic Carpentry, Tiling, Painting, Plumbing, Minor Electrical, Drainage works, External works – including gardening. Someone who has a Full, UK, Valid Driving Licence, with access to a car. Someone who has City and Guilds craft certificate in construction trade, or a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in a relevant trade or in multi-trade building maintenance operation, and/ or has a multi-trade Skills qualification(s) or similar certificates or competence. Someone who has Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a building trade or property maintenance role Someone who is practical and enjoys working outside. Physical requirements: As the role is physically demanding the applicant must have the ability to lift and handle large/heavy objects, be able to bend, reach, push, pull, load, unload climb and work safely at height. Ability to predominantly work on their feet during working hours and through the course of the day.
