The role: Goods Inwards Team Leader
As the Goods Inwards Team Leader you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operational activities within the Goods in department.
Key Responsibilities - Goods Inwards Team Leader
* Overseeing the entire goods in process, from receiving deliveries to storing items in the warehouse
* Ensuring safe and timely unloading of deliveries, accurately checking quantities and quality
* Maintaining accurate records of incoming goods, ensuring proper storage and labelling
* Managing all necessary paperwork related to deliveries, including booking in deliveries and creating relevant reports
* Utilising and maintaining warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
* Enforcing safety and security protocols within the goods in area to ensure own and safety of others
* Implementing periodic stock checks
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems and confident in using Microsoft Word and Excel
* A minimum of 1 years experience within a warehouse or goods receiving role
* Forklift License - Reach/Counterbalance desirable but not essential
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle unexpected issues
* Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring manual handling
