We have a perfect opportunity for a communications professional looking for a part-time, flexible role with a varied workload in a supportive and friendly team that delivers high-quality, meaningful work.
This is a 3-day per week job share for around 14 months, covering alumni and development communications in the University Advancement Communications team.
While one of our valued team members is away, this full-time role has been split into two parts for a job share: marketing and communications. The marketing role is already filled, and we now need someone to cover the content creation for alumni and development audiences on our website and social media.
What You'll Do:
* Create engaging, high-quality content for the University's alumni and development website.
* Manage and grow our alumni-focused social media channels, including a new platform launching this year.
* Write and send email newsletters and digital communications to the alumni community.
* Support and refresh our social media strategy.
* Collaborate across teams on digital campaigns and storytelling initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
* Proven experience in digital communications, content creation, and social media management.
* Proficiency in content management and scheduling tools.
* A creative mindset and strong editorial judgment.
* Ability to write clearly and persuasively for diverse audiences.

This fixed-term role to cover parental leave starts on 1 July and ends around September 2026 or upon the return of the current post holder. The role is based in central Cambridge with a hybrid work model; the successful candidate is expected to be in the office on Wednesdays.
