The post holder will hold 24 hour responsibility for the Children's and Young Persons Emergency Department team with support from the Clinical Matron and Childrens Head of Nursing. They will ensure that they lead and manage the ward so that safe, high quality, evidence based nursing care is delivered to patients whilst respecting and involving families and carers as partners in care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will promote the positive image of the clinical area and the Trust by being a role model, having a clear vision and using direct clinical leadership to ensure an excellent patient experience and a ward that promotes both clinical and operational excellence.
The post holder in conjunction with the senior management team will manage the budget for the ward to ensure the best use of resources.
