Tupwood Gate is a Nursing Home located in the quiet residential town of Caterham in Surrey, providing outcome-focused care for adults who may be physically frail, with a diagnosis of dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. Tupwood Gate provides short stay or longer-term care, offering award-winning end of life care.
We are looking for an full time Activity Coordinator with a passion for delivering excellent care.
You will be working 37.5 hours a week, on a rota basis including weekends and must be able to drive.

You’re day-to-day…
* Helping with the creation and planning of activities for residents across Tupwood Gate Nursing Home
* Arrange outings for residents to local events
* Working closely with all team members within the Tupwood Gate Nursing Home
* Support with the creation of promotional material for up-and-coming events
* Discussing potential ideas for activities with residents
* Contacting and arranging for external 3rd party companies to visit Tupwood Gate
* Assisting residents in taking part of arranged activities

About You
* Previous care experience working within either a nursing home or community role (Essential)
* Experienced in working with adults with dementia, Alzheimer’s and other health conditions (Desirable)
* Computer literate (Essential)
* Strong verbal communications skills (Essential)
* Positive and Compassionate Approach (Essential)
* Able to work as an individual or as part of a team (Essential)
* Experienced in planning and arranging events (Desirable)
Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
