Facilities Maintenance/Site Services Engineer
Location: Deeside
Working days: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
Pay: £43,000 - £45,000 DOE (Additional payments for on‑call (1 in 4 weeks))
Rotas: 6am‑2pm, 8am‑4pm, 10am‑6pm (rotational basis between engineers)
Our client is looking for an Electrically Biased Multi‑Skilled Facilities/Building Engineer to carry out PPM and reactive maintenance/inspections/repairs across site services. Tasks range from changing light bulbs to diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, high voltage distribution systems, supporting BMS and energy‑management systems, overseeing compliance testing, coordinating contractors, and contributing to upgrade and improvement projects.
Responsibilities
* Implement preventive maintenance programmes.
* Conduct regular inspections and servicing of equipment, systems, and structures.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical problems (electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
* Undertake system upgrades and improvements (energy efficiency projects, modernization, new technologies).
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain records and generate reports.
* Prepare for emergencies to minimise disruption and ensure occupant safety.
Skills & Experience
* Electrical qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3, HNC, or City & Guilds.
* Trade apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years practical experience.
* Strong background in engineering relating to building systems (electrical, mechanical, building services).
* Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management (advantageous).
