An established engineering and sustainability consultancy is expanding its Glasgow-based team and is seeking a talented Senior Building Performance Modelling Engineer to support continued growth. The organisation works across a wide range of building sectors, providing integrated design, technical expertise, and innovative solutions to help clients deliver efficient, low-carbon projects. The Building Performance Modelling & Sustainability teams collaborate closely with engineering specialists to deliver full building services solutions.
About the Role
* Energy and decarbonisation strategies
* Sustainability approaches for new-build and existing buildings
* Performance modelling to support engineering design
* Site assessments and environmental evaluations
You will also have opportunities to broaden your knowledge of environmental systems, undertake assessments, provide sustainability guidance, and work towards professional membership.
Preferred Skills & Experience
* BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng in a Built Environment or Engineering-related subject
* 2+ years’ experience in building physics (heat transfer, thermal comfort, ventilation, energy modelling)
* Experience using IES-VE
* Low Carbon Energy Assessor accreditation
* Understanding of daylight analysis, TM54, decarbonisation studies, and sustainability rating tools (BREEAM, NABERS)
* Strong communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach
* Analytical thinking and a creative mindset
* Strong organisation, task management, and awareness of commercial design factors
* A genuine passion for sustainable building design
