Your new role
You will support the business in managing and obtaining environmental permits (including licence applications) for land, air and water. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid role split between working from home and one of their north Leicestershire locations.Main duties include:
1. Provide technical advice on permits and licenses required for successful business operation in the minerals sector
2. Manage a wide range of environmental permits and license applications
3. Highlight changes to legislation andmunicate how they will impact current permits
4. Provide expert advice to the business, explain technical issues relating to permit conditions
5. Work with a variety of internal and external teams
6. Attend meetings across the Midlands on occasion
What you'll need to succeed
7. A degree in environmental science or related field
8. Experience managingplex permits and license applications (ideally in the Minerals, waste or water sectors)
9. Experience liaising with regulatory bodies
10. Knowledge of relevant UK environmental legislation
