Job Description:
What you’ll be doing
As a Digital Budget & Efficiency Analyst, you will:
* Identify, capture, and manage cost savings and optimization opportunities across Digital functions, tracking and reporting on initiatives with regular meetings with Digital teams and initiative owners.
* Evaluate existing financial processes, reports, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, including cost positioning and allocation.
* Lead initiatives to implement digital tools and technologies that streamline financial operations and improve accuracy.
* Work with Project Managers and Cost Centre Managers to identify and capture incoming costs from projects within current approval processes and timescales.
* Utilize data analytics to assess financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights.
* Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
* Track and update Opex cost centre budget forecasts proactively and accurately.
Base location – Hybrid – Clear Water Court Reading
Working pattern – 36 hours Monday to Friday
What you should bring to the role
The essential criteria include:
* Extensive experience in financial analysis, reporting, Business Administration, Budgeting, Process Improvement, or related fields.
* Experience managing and tracking cost-saving initiatives.
* Good understanding of Digital services and products.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in MS tools - Excel, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word.
Additional qualities that would be beneficial:
* Proficiency in financial modelling, reporting, and digital transformation technologies.
* Previous experience in digital, water, or utility industries.
* Accountancy qualification.
