Fortis are working with a client who supply into the construction industry to recruit a technical sales manager to work in their precast team.
The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing some strategically important precast accounts. This role blends technical specification work, early design engagement, commercial development and account management, requiring a candidate who understands the UK precast industry in depth and can hit the ground running.
The Technical Sales Manager will be working closely with precast manufacturers, engineers, architects and design teams to secure early-stage specification, influence product selection, provide technical guidance, and drive revenue growth across the precast product portfolio.

Required Experience
* Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the precast, structural or wider construction industry
* Proven knowledge of precast systems, fixings, castin channels, or other relevant products
* Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and precast drawings
* Understanding of load paths, fixings, and typical precast build-ups
* Experience in a technical-commercial or specification-facing role (design, engineering, technical sales, or project management).
We are looking for technical sales managers with experience in the precast lifting and fixing systems sector. This position will involve managing and growing existing accounts (80%) and prosecting for new business (20%). The head office is in Berkshire so you will be expected to go there from time to time for sales meetings.
The salary is dependent on experience – the client are open to experienced sales managers but will also consider candidates with technical precast knowledge who have some client interaction. Additionally there is a bonus and medical cover.
