A Day in the Life
Responsible for selling the full range of Hernia products within the Surgical Technologies portfolio. Managing the territory’s pipeline for synthetic mesh, fixation and balloon dissection and Permacol accounts across the region in a professional manner.
Develops detailed tactical plans that set SMART objectives for the accelerated progression of Hernia Care. Adopting a consultative approach, they will build strong ethical business relationships with key customers ensuring increased usage of products and secure new business within the Hernia Care market. Working collaboratively with other Surgical territory managers. Exceeding set targets and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.
This role will cover East of England – Essex, East Anglia, Norfolk, Suffolk, Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
* Achieve sales targets by promoting products to NHS and private hospitals within the assigned territory
* Drive business development through sales and product support of hernia care consumables, while collaborating with colleagues across product portfolios
* Develop a strong understanding of product applications within the UK healthcare market
* Actively contribute to team goals and work towards objectives set in collaboration with the National Sales Manager
* Identify and propose improvements within sales and marketing operations to enhance overall business performance
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders within the market
* Organise and deliver educational programs and product presentations to healthcare professionals
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or the equivalent
* Proven field sales experience within the medical devices sector, specifically in secondary care and theatre-based environments
* Strong understanding of the NHS purchasing structure and decision-making pathways
* Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities, with strong persuasion and influencing skills
* Full, valid UK driving licence
