COMPANY GBA Logistics - Freight Services Business Unit JOB TITLE Management Accountant – Freight Services SHIFTS Monday - Friday (Flexible Hours Available) SALARY Up to £45,000 (FTE) BASE Hesketh Bank, Preston (Hybrid) We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team and support our Freight Services business unit. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about financial reporting, process improvements, and working in a dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing financial insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial control across the business. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Assist with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities. Collaborate with department heads to provide financial support and guidance. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Essential Skills Qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience). Previous experience in a similar Management Accountant role. Strong communicator, with the ability to present complex information clearly. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment. Strong systems and Excel knowledge; experience with Netsuite is an advantage.
