The role
TEXO Recruitment are sourcing for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our client on a 6 month contract in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage and oversee end-to-end logistics operations that support global business activities, ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transportation of equipment and materials across both domestic and international networks.
Acting as a central point of coordination between internal teams, freight partners, and clients, the role is responsible for handling import/export procedures, documentation, and mobilisation activities for multiple global entities.
The Logistics Coordinator ensures regulatory compliance, operational preparedness, and clear proactive communication to support the successful delivery, movement, and return of equipment throughout the global supply chain.
Duties:
- Support the business with all freight forwarding movements locally and internationally meeting project deadlines.
- Working closely with hauliers and forwarders for Out of Gauge (OOG) movements and police notifications.
- Main point of contact in yard to coordinate project loadouts
- Ship sales orders in NetSuite on the day project leaves sit
- Add signed delivery paperwork into project folder same day
- Work with our external DGSA to ensure annual audits are completed and issues addressed.
- Ensure HMRC EORI information is up to date each month and well documented. Ensuring all CDS entries retained in job folders.
- Communication with clients and their overseas agents prior to shipping to ensure export documentation is approved and ETA can be met.
- Ensure full pre-alerts are sent in a timely manner and give support upon arrival in country as and when necessary.
- Liaise with clients and agents to approve return documentation to ensure smooth clearance back into the UK for all hire equipment and assist in re-export formalities worldwide.
- Work closely with business to ensure the correct incoterms are agreed at contract stage
- Close support with external clients to ensure mobilisations & demobilisations are communicated and well organised.
- Support sales and project teams to ensure all quotes are valid and as accurately as possible
- Prepare shipping documentation for packing list, COO, Commercial invoice etc.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within the freight industry, including dealing with /sea/ road freight.
- Competent Knowledge of Incoterms 2020.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience in UK customs formalities.
- Experience handling / producing transit documentation.
- Dangerous Goods certifications Air and Sea.
- Oil and Gas or manufacturing experience of a similar nature.
- B1 and B2 Forklift Licence beneficial
