I am currently doing a Master’s degree at the University of Kent. During the first two semesters of my studies, my son stayed in Angola, where we normally live. However, in this final semester he was not doing well emotionally and missed me very much. Because of that, I decided it would be best for him to come to the UK and stay with me while I complete my remaining classes in April and May.
For this reason, I am looking for someone who can look after him while I attend my university lectures. The care would mainly be needed during the times when I am in class.
My son is three years old. He is a very intelligent and curious boy, full of energy and very playful. He is friendly and adapts well when he feels comfortable.
Portuguese is his first language, as we are from Angola, but he already understands and speaks a few words in English. I believe that with time and exposure he will improve quickly. It would be wonderful if the caregiver could be patient and supportive while he continues to get used to the language and a new environment.
What I need most is someone responsible, caring, and attentive who can ensure he is safe, engaged, and happy while I am attending my classes. Activities such as playing, reading simple books, drawing, or going to a nearby park would be ideal.
