Job Description
Our Programme Advisory (PA) business unit has a proven track record of working with public and private sector clients to deliver complex strategies, set‑up, and transformations for major programmes both in the UK and globally, with the ambition of being No.1 in the strategy, set‑up, and delivery of infrastructure programmes combining Asset Management and Programme Advisory and core delivery capabilities. The Programme Commercial Advisory team supports iconic clients across a wide range of sectors through designing, developing, implementing, and optimising commercial strategies, commercial models, and functional operating models across the commercial lifecycle from market intelligence to commercial strategy development and optimisation of commercial performance and value.
We are seeking talented individuals at Consultant, Senior Consultant and Principal Consultant grades across multiple UK locations who are looking to support our clients’ major programmes and organisation in setting a new standard of supply chain and commercial delivery for the industry.
Key Aspects of the Role
* Understanding and communicating the key strategic levers to enable successful outcomes‑driven commercial environments for clients.
* Guide clients in establishing optimal commercial approaches throughout the asset lifecycle.
* Translate a client’s vision into effective and realistic commercial solutions, including incentivisation.
* Deploy and/or optimise commercial management strategies, processes, tools, and systems, tailoring our standard methodologies to client needs.
* Proactively connect and collaborate with diverse and multi‑disciplinary teams both internally and externally.
* Develop strong relationships with client stakeholders at all levels.
* Support clients to deliver effective change management.
* Support key activities within the Programme Advisory team including internal development of commercial service transformation products and methodologies, and identify, contribute to and progress business generation opportunities where appropriate.
Qualifications
* Commercial:
o Deep understanding of one or more of infrastructure, defence and/or energy and natural resources markets, and associated commercial requirements.
o Awareness of the commercial lifecycle and how this supports clients.
o Ability to understand and operate within large‑scale, complex environments.
o Experience of delivering projects within commercial / transformational environments.
o Familiarity with construction industry context, models, and initiatives (e.g., Construction Playbook, Project 13).
o Familiarity with relevant legislative requirements (e.g., public/sector procurement regulations).
o Qualified, or in an advanced process of becoming qualified in MCIPS, RICS or equivalent professional qualification is desirable.
* Consultancy:
o Experience of leading and managing multiple projects and maintaining quality deliverables against challenging timelines.
o Excellent communication skills including active listening, presentation, and written communication.
o Ability to provide insights to our clients through clear and succinct communications.
o Flexible with a can‑do attitude and a strong eye for detail.
o Able to work and thrive in multi‑stakeholder environments.
o Experience of delivering change management.
