Overview:
We are working with a Merseyside local authority to recruit an experienced Social Worker to join their Child Protection team. The successful candidate will carry a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and undertake court work where required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a varied caseload of CP and CIN cases
* Complete assessments under S17 and S47
* Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, core groups, case conferences, and court proceedings
* Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency professionals to safeguard and promote child welfare
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate case recordings in line with statutory timescales
Requirements:
* Social Work England registration
* Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience in Child Protection
* Strong knowledge of legislation, safeguarding procedures, and local authority frameworks
* Enhanced DBS on the update service
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
