RECfinancial are currently shortlisting exclusively for a Leicester based business in the search for a Bookkeeper on a permanent hybrid basis. The client has recently celebrated a significant achievement within the industry. The client may consider Bookkeepers who are on their journey to becoming fully accomplished. Experience within Practice is key.
The role is almost remote, and the client will also consider candidates from Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.
What’s the purpose of the Bookkeeper?
Reporting to a supportive Manager, you will support various aspects of general bookkeeping within the business to contribute to the achievement of financial objectives. You will help manage multiple client relationships and process financial data.
Key responsibilities include:
* Entering and reconciling financial data in accounting software (Xero experience highly valued).
* Reconciling customer, supplier, and bank accounts.
* Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
* Managing workflow, meeting client expectations, and adding value through expertise.
* Building strong client relationships to enhance service and performance.
About You
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in practice or the accounting industry.
* AAT qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
* Proficiency with accounting software; Xero preferred.
* Committed to developing professional and technical knowledge.
