Teaching Assistant position to start in September 2025 to work with an amazing team supporting secondary age children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 8:15am-3pm, with the opportunity to progress to a permanent position with school.
About the Role:
* Support individual and small groups of pupils with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
* Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour
* Work in partnership with class teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies
* Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
* Build trusted relationships that empower pupils to reach their potential
We're Looking For Someone Who:
* Has experience working with children with SEMH needs (school-based or other relevant settings)
* Demonstrates empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence
* Is calm under pressure and can confidently manage challenging behaviour
* Communicates effectively with both children and adults
* Has a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
