What you’ll be doing
as a Site Performance Manager
1. You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operation of Thames Water's largest Production Plant. Including direct and indirect people performance management and coaching
2. Direct line management of other managers and highly experienced Process Control Engineers
3. Process management
4. Extensive site production planning with a key focus on water production. Ensuring the site remains compliant with several regulatory outputs. Including Water Quality compliance, environmental permitting and COMAH compliance as the Controller of the Premises of a large COMAH site
5. Responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety related to the operation of the site. Liaison with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels
6. Supporting and facilitating other teams responsible for delivering service to our customers
7. Maintain and contribute to a succession plan as part of the wider Water Production team.
8. Proactive administration of the Recruitment Process to maintain the resource level in the team
Base Location: Ashford Common
Working Pattern 36 Hours Monday- Friday
Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a full UK driver's Licence
What you should bring to the role as a Site Performance Manager
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
9. Have extensive knowledge and experience working in a clean water treatment process environment
10. Have demonstrable management experience of front-line operational teams in a similar environment
11. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and demonstrable ability to manage and prioritise a heavy workload under pressure
12. You will be confident in your ability to present key findings and liaise with managers of all levels
13. Having a strong background in process management with excellent skills in operations, engineering, finance, H&S, stakeholder engagement, and customer focus is essential
