Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a versatile and safety-focused Class 1 ADR Driver to join our specialist logistics team based in Portbury BS20 7XE. You will be responsible for the secure transport of hazardous goods, including lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, across the UK.
You will be contracted to work48 hoursper week, Monday to Friday with the start time window of05:00 and 06:00

What youll do on a typical day:
* A typical day starts between 05:00 06:00 with 12 deliveries to engineers in the morning, followed by a trunk run between our distribution centres
* Safely transport ADR-classified goods (e.g. lithium-ion batteries) to and from customer sites
* Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards
* Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations always
* Accurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required)
* Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contacts
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* A full UK driving licence with category class 2 entitlement
* A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
* Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
* ADR Licence (minimum: Class 9 Miscellaneous Dangerous Substances, with Packages preferred)
* Previous experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels desirable)
* No more than 6 current penalty points
* This role is ideal for professional drivers who take pride in safety, compliance, and customer service.
