The Role
You will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the overall financial health of the business.
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (flexibility required - may vary between 8:30am - 5:00pm)
Pay: Salary discussed at interview
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
* Chasing outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written communication
* Allocating incoming payments and reconciling accounts
* Investigating and resolving invoice queries
* Producing and reviewing aged debt reports
* Monitoring credit limits and assessing financial risk
* Liaising with internal departments to resolve account issues
* Supporting month-end processes and reporting
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
* Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
* Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be highly accurate with data entry
* Have a good understanding of proforma versus credit accounts
* Have experience working with numbers in a financial setting
* Have experience handling cash
* Possess a strong understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality
