Accountant Client PortfolioLocation: Stratford-upon-Avon AreaWorking Pattern: 4-Day Working Week | Hybrid Working AvailableSalary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annumLooking for Greater Ownership and Client Exposure?Our client is a growing regional accountancy practice seeking an experienced Accountant to manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses.This is a highly client-facing role offering the opportunity to build long-term relationships, provide practical advice, and become a trusted adviser to sole traders, partnerships, landlords, family businesses and rural enterprises.For the right individual, there is genuine scope for career progression and increased responsibility.The OpportunityThis role combines accounts preparation, Self Assessment work, Making Tax Digital support and client relationship management.You'll work directly with business owners, helping them understand their finances and supporting them with practical advice that makes a genuine difference.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts PreparationPreparing year-end accounts for sole traders and partnershipsReviewing bookkeeping records and resolving discrepanciesPreparing capital allowance claims and tax adjustmentsManaging partnership allocations and calculationsProducing high-quality working papersTax & Making Tax DigitalPreparing Self Assessment tax returnsCalculating tax liabilities and advising clients on obligationsManaging HMRC submissionsSupporting clients with Making Tax Digital requirementsAdvising on record-keeping and complianceClient RelationshipsActing as a key point of contact for clientsExplaining accounting and tax matters clearlyBuilding long-term relationshipsSupporting clients with financial systems and processesContributing to the continued growth of the local officeAbout YouYou'll likely have:Experience preparing accounts for unincorporated businesses within practiceStrong Self Assessment experienceExperience using Xero, QuickBooks, CCH or similar softwareExcellent communication skillsStrong organisational abilityAAT qualification or equivalent experienceDesirableACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualifiedExperience with partnerships, landlords or agricultural businessesKnowledge of Making Tax Digital requirementsAn interest in working with owner-managed and rural businessesBenefits4-day working weekHybrid workingGenuine progression opportunitiesDiverse and interesting client portfolioSupportive team environmentCompany pensionLife insuranceFlexible workingOngoing professional developmentThis role would suit someone looking to combine technical expertise with meaningful client interaction and long-term career progression.TPBN1_UKTJ
