Join Our Team: Experienced Dialysis Nurse Wanted for Satellite Unit

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse looking for a new challenge in a patient-centred environment?

We are seeking ahighly motivated and enthusiastic Dialysis Nurse to join our supportive nurse-led satellite unit team, delivering high quality, individualised care to patients with chronic kidney disease.

About the Role

Our satellite unit provides life-sustaining haemodialysis treatment, allowing for strong, long-term nurse-patient relationships. You will work closely with a dynamic multi disciplinary team, including nephrologists, specialist nurses and dietitians, to provide holistic care and support to our patients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills and gain experience in renal nursing, with comprehensive training provided if needed.

Key responsibilities

Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate all aspects of nursing care for patients requiring haemodilaysis.

Manage and amintain all types of vascular access, including AV fistulas, grafts and central venous catheters .

Monitor patients conditions during treatment, identify and manage potential complications (e.g., hypotension, bleeding) and act on changes in blood results.

Educate patients and their families on managing their condition, diet, fluid restrictions, and self-care to promote well being and independence.

Act as a shift coordinator when required, supervising junior staff and contributing to the smooth running of the unit .

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and adhere to strict infection prevention measures.

Job Description

Position: Staff Nurse, Band 5, Ref 321-RN5-25.

Hours: 37.5 per week.

Reports to: Sister/Charge Nurse for managerial accountability; Matron for professional accountability.

Supports management of unregistered workforce and students.
