Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Payroll, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing specific to UK regulations.
* Lead and support Workday Payroll implementation projects, including system configuration, testing, parallel runs, and go-live activities.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR, and Finance teams to analyze requirements and provide Workday Payroll solutions.
* Troubleshoot payroll-related issues, provide functional support, and ensure seamless payroll cycles.
* Partner with technical teams to design, configure, and enhance Workday Payroll integrations with third-party systems (e.g., benefits, tax authorities, finance systems).
* Conduct end-user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure effective use of Workday Payroll.
* Maintain compliance with UK payroll legislation and ensure systems are updated for any statutory changes.
* Contribute to the optimization of Time Tracking and Absence Management processes where applicable.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Workday Certification in Payroll (mandatory).
* 6–15 years of overall experience, with significant focus on Workday Payroll.
* Proven experience in UK Payroll operations and legislation.
* Hands-on experience in at least one or more Workday Payroll implementation projects.
* Strong understanding of payroll compliance, auditing, and reporting requirements in the UK.
* Experience with Workday modules such as Time Tracking and Absence is a strong plus.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
