A well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join its growing Oxford team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to progress into a Senior Surveyor role and beyond, working with high-profile clients across a diverse UK property portfolio.
You'll join a developing team focused on delivering high-quality surveying services to key client accounts, with the chance to help shape team culture and mentor junior colleagues as the group grows.
The role offers a blend of office-based collaboration, site inspections across the UK, and flexibility for hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop detailed client briefs alongside senior colleagues
Deliver project work and professional instructions across commercial, retail, and education sectors
Produce designs, specifications, and tender documentation
Administer JCT contracts
Undertake a broad range of professional services including:
Condition surveys
Specific defect analysis
Party wall matters
Dilapidations
Reinstatement cost assessments
Manage relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors
Support team leaders in mentoring junior staff and managing project finances
Contribute to client development and internal team growth
Candidate Requirements
MRICS qualified
Proven experience advising on commercial, retail, or educational properties
Comfortable leading both project and professional workstreams
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Competent in Microsoft Office (NBS Chorus experience beneficial but not essential)
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
