The Role
We are looking for a Project Engineer to support and manage electrical engineering projects from the tendering stage through to completion. The role is based at the company's main premises at Kingstown, Carlisle and offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced and highly skilled team.
Key responsibilities include:
· Determining customer requirements via, site visits, media meetings, detailed specifications etc.
· Assessing the electrical requirements and submitting quotations.
· Creating CAD Design drawings for electrical control systems to a high standard
· Managing and supporting engineering projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget
· Project planning, coordination and technical design work
· Liaising with the customer & with the internal teams throughout the project to deliver high-quality results
· Ensuring all work meets company standards and client expectations

About You
We welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience or those who have the right skills, attitude and willingness to learn.
You may be a good fit if you:
· Have experience or an interest in project engineering, project management or project planning
· Have experience of electrical control systems (preferred).
· Have experience of industrial electrical systems (not essential)
· Are a qualified electrician who wants to expand their knowledge of electrical control systems
· Have knowledge of Electrical CAD drawing packages (beneficial however training can be provided)
· Have strong communication and teamwork skills
· Have good organisational ability and attention to detail
· Have a proactive, curious mindset and enthusiasm for learning
Experience of PLC/HMI/SCADA programming would be an advantage or if the right candidate shows a willingness to learn this new skill set then this would be beneficial. If you bring transferable skills and the right approach, we want to hear from you.
