We're looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team at Scolmore Group, where you'll play a key role in shaping the commercial success of our product portfolio and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
* New Product Validation: Assess the commercial viability of new products, focusing on pricing, costs, margins, and forecasts.
* Product Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate product performance against targets, market trends, and ROI.
* Stock Management: Identify slow-moving and obsolete stock, propose corrective actions, and support inventory optimisation.
* Market Data Harvesting: Collaborate with the sales team to gather and analyse market data to support product launches and performance reviews.
* System Data Maintenance: Manage customer price files, including promotions and pricing adjustments.
* Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Purchasing, and Customer Services, offering support across the Commercial Department.
* Project Involvement: Contribute to wider business projects within the Scolmore Group to support strategic goals.
What We're Looking For
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Project management experience with the ability to deliver on time.
* Flexible, reliable, and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI (or similar).
