Business Support Officer

Applications are warmly welcomed for a Business Support Officer to join our growing team of Physical Health Psychologists in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.
The role is to establish and maintain a business support infrastructure necessary to assist the Service Manager, Operational and Clinical Leads in meeting the Trust’s objectives and targets. This will include the development of systems and processes to monitor performance against the Trust’s Key Performance Indicators.
To analyse reports and extract data from all report formats for all Key Performance Indicators (Quantity & Quality) and feed this back to Service Manager, Operational and Clinical Lead in a format that can be used within Services/Teams for planning and supervision purposes.
Required to have the authority/ability to approach individual clinicians and highlight performance issues and request action. To elevate poor performance/compliance as necessary via the Operational and Clinical Leads with a requirement to further elevate if deemed necessary via Service Manager.

Main duties of the job
* Request information / activity reports that are required on behalf of the Service Manager, Operational and Clinical Leads including care co-ordination, care cluster, data timeliness, contract monitoring reports, waiting times, cancelled clinics etc.
* Provide a central point of contact to respond to/resolve any queries on behalf of Service Manager, Operational and Clinical Leads where appropriate in relation to all Key Performance Indicators.
* Monitor ESR Business Intelligence system to ensure compliance with staff mandatory training/appraisals/sickness - providing reports as necessary.
* Ensure robust systems are in place to monitor, capture, extract and analyse relevant data to measure performance against contracts and support compliance with Key Performance targets, providing relevant information on a daily basis in a variety of formats.
* Monitor, extract and analyse complex information from a variety of sources including the Patient Information System to meet reporting requirements on a daily basis. This includes sensitive information contained within clinical documentation.
* There is a frequent requirement for sitting in a restricted position for a substantial proportion of the working time either at a computer desk, in meetings or while driving.
* Requirement to concentrate for long periods of time working on reports such as the deep dive report for KPIs. Post holder would be required to maintain concentration with interruptions on a regular basis.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 Business Administration (or equivalent level of experience)
* OCR/RSA III or equivalent experience
* BTEC Diploma in Business Administration (Level 1)
Experience
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines: prioritising workload.
* Requirement to travel between Trust sites across a wide geographical area as deemed necessary to Service requirements.
* Experience in using clinical systems such as RiO, Healthroster or ESR systems.
* Experience in using BI reports.
* Experience in using clinical information systems and handling sensitive data.
* Experience or analytical processes. Ability to plan, schedule and organise day-to-day work.
* Significant experience in administrative duties and previous experience of setting up office/administrative systems.
