Department overview: The Procurement department at Aston Martin is responsible for the selection and management of all external suppliers to the business. The department has a direct impact upon the Company’s profitability, and its team members are relied upon to professionally develop and maintain competitive, stable, long-term supply agreements with its supplier base. Programme team is the key interface between the vehicle Programme team and Procurement, ensuring the Production Procurement teams source parts to the correct quality, at the best cost, in line with the vehicle programme milestones. Job Purpose: Be the focal point to provide the co-ordination, metrics and control for all aspects of Procurement in support of new vehicle programmes, ensuring compliance with Procurement strategy and Programme milestones. Key duties and responsibilities: Launch Control Meetings and escalation reviews as required. Coordinate and manage Procurement Programme activities across multiple vehicle programmes. Lead and support cross-functional activities to ensure delivery of data into the Procurement team in line with Programme requirements. Support and drive cross-functional sourcing, cost and timing reviews Manage and facilitate Programme Sourcing Councils, driving on-time and to budget sourcing. Develop and implement Procurement processes improvements. Ensure Procurement activities for all Programme Gateways are completed in line with requirement dates Maintain Master Sourcing Documents for supervision of Procurement Programme metrics to meet deliverables Liaise with the Cost Engineering Team (CE) to support finance with respect to cost target setting, contributing information into the affordable business structure. Provide analysis and reporting of programme material and investment costs, identifying risks and opportunities. Support in developing commodity strategies including Low Cost Sourcing and Commodity Run Out plans Support junior team members on day-to-day activities to ensure adherence to Gateway deliverables Lead the coordination, escalation and resolution for identified programme risks with support of the Procurement teams. Qualification & Experience: Previous Procurement and/or Programme Management experience is required. Understanding of the strategic role of the Procurement function.
