Role
The BU Director is a pivotal senior leadership role, combining full operational leadership of the site with clear accountability for financial performance and contribution at Board level.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full P&L ownership for the site, driving financial performance, cost control, margin improvement and delivery against budget and strategic targets.
* Acting as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to wider business strategy and participating in Board-level discussions and decision-making.
* Embedding the company vision, values and culture across the site, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
* Leading, developing and coaching a high-performing senior leadership team across all key functions.
* Defining and delivering the site strategy, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with commercial and financial goals.
* Implementing robust performance metrics (KPIs) across operations, quality, safety and service, and ensuring consistent, data-driven improvement.
* Creating a high-performance environment that balances accountability with engagement, where individuals feel valued and supported.
* Collaborating with central functions and the wider business to deliver cross-functional initiatives and strategic improvement programmes.

The successful candidate will be an operationally strong leader, capable of managing complexity and operating with credibility at both site and Board level.
Key attributes include:
* Proven experience in a Site Director role within FMCG or food manufacturing, with clear accountability for P&L performance.
* Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into operational and financial delivery, driving both top- and bottom-line results.
* Experience of operating within a senior leadership or Board environment, with the confidence and gravitas to influence at this level.
* Strong leadership capability, with a track record of building, developing and motivating high-performing teams.
* Highly numerate with strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret and act on financial data.
* A proactive, self-starting approach, combined with resilience, clarity of thought and strong interpersonal skills.
