Inbound Leader – Vehicle Check‑In & Inspection
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (DOE)
Hours:Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm, occasional Satrurday as overtimne
Location: Rugby
We are seeking a highly organised Inbound Leader to oversee the vehicle check‑in and inspection process for all incoming cars delivered via transporters and auction suppliers. This role is ideal for someone with strong automotive knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and experience supervising operational or workshop‑related teams.
As the Inbound Leader, you will manage the team responsible for booking in vehicles as they arrive on site. You will ensure that all cars are accurately checked, documented, and assessed for any damage, discrepancies, or issues that require claims or follow‑up with suppliers. You will act as the key point of contact between transporters, inspection staff, technicians, and management to ensure a smooth, efficient inbound process.
* Lead the inbound team responsible for booking in all arriving vehicles
* Oversee initial inspections for damage, missing items, and condition discrepancies
* Ensure accurate documentation for auction purchases and supplier deliveries
* Raise claims for vehicles that are not as described or arrive with faults
* Liaise with technicians for deeper mechanical assessments when required
* Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation, and workflow efficiency
* Report daily inbound activity to management
* Support continuous improvement of the check‑in and inspection process
Qualifications
* Strong automotive knowledge (mechanical understanding preferred)
* Experience in workshop control, inspection, or vehicle operations
* Confident leading a small team and coordinating workloads
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to spot damage, defects, and inconsistencies
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced operational environment
