As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing custom‑engineered automation solutions to life. From initial concept through to final delivery, you will be responsible for developing robust, compliant, and cost‑effective electrical designs tailored to each client s unique requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop detailed electrical systems for bespoke machinery and automation projects
* Produce circuit diagrams and electrical layouts using CAD software
* Ensure all designs meet relevant standards, safety requirements, and best practices
* Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation and delivery
* Interpret and qualify customer technical requirements to develop optimal solutions
* Provide technical support to customers via telephone and remote assistance
* Prepare clear and professional technical reports, documentation, and specifications
* Contribute to design for manufacture, cost efficiency, and standardisation initiatives
Experience required:
* HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
* 3 5 years experience in an electrical design engineering role
* Strong understanding of design for manufacture, cost control, and standardisation
* Proficiency with electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical desirable)
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
