The Role This is a senior-level position with full commercial oversight across multiple projects. You’ll work closely with directors and site teams to manage cost planning, tendering, procurement, and reporting — playing a key role in the success and profitability of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and marine jobs. Key Responsibilities: Lead cost management for civil and marine projects from tender to final account. Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, and variations. Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and valuations. Ensure commercial and project targets are achieved through strong cost control. Mentor junior QS staff and contribute to the development of commercial systems. Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to uphold project standards. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics. 5 years’ experience, ideally with a civil engineering or marine contractor. Track record managing contracts, budgets, and cost reporting independently. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Familiarity with Irish construction contracts and regulations. Ability to manage multiple active projects.
