The Community Partnerships Team aims to develop links with third sector and community groups to support front-line colleagues and promote a holistic approach to achieving positive outcomes. With a focus on prevention and early intervention, we build relationships across sectors to ensure that people living in Renfrewshire have knowledge and access to a range of activities and services that help maintain or improve wellbeing, in coordination with health and care services when appropriate.
The Community Partnerships Officer role is crucial to developing and maintaining these links. You will have a track record of building connections, working with groups and using your initiative to introduce new ideas to enhance practice. You should have an understanding of community and partnership working practices, having built close links with partners in sectors such as physical activity and arts and culture.
It is essential that you have experience of working within the Health Service and/or local authority, and the ability to work on your own initiative. You must have effective organisational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as personal resilience and the ability to manage competing priorities.
It is essential that you have an SVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant subject or relevant experience. This role will require you to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. More information can be found at the PVG scheme website.
