We’re looking for a detail-driven and experienced Rent & Service Charge Accountant to join a dynamic team at a respected housing provider in South East London.
Salary: £50,200 per annum + fantastic benefits & career progression

Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid/ Flexible working arrangment You’ll play a pivotal role in managing rent increases, setting service charges, and overseeing income reconciliation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and value for money across the board. From preparing invoices and rent journals to leading annual audits and supporting forecasting, your work will directly impact the financial wellbeing of the organisation and its residents.
What you'll do:
Lead the annual rent and service charge setting process
Ensure compliance with housing regulations and audit recommendations
Monitor and reconcile rental income and bad debts
Process adjustments, refunds, and invoices
Collaborate with Finance and Income teams on budget planning and reporting
Manage KPIs and produce regular performance reports
Act as a key point of contact for rent and service charge queriesWhat you'll bring:
Social housing finance experience (essential)
Strong knowledge of Orchard or similar housing systems
Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills
Relevant accounting qualifications (ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, CIMA)
